Sheet metal step bending:
Much more than rolling, bending, a technical finish
Our step bending know-how
Step bending, an innovative alternative to traditional rolling, is part of our specialist expertise. Our precision technique allows us to form a metal sheet into a curve by means of a multitude of successive folds.
Step bending cylindrical parts
When rolling has reached its limits, the step bending of cylindrical parts takes over. This method seems particularly effective for thick parts where the diameter is too small for roll forming machines. These cylindrical parts are folded progressively in half-parts.
Step bending a cone
We bend concentric, oblique or truncated parts by step-bending (using specific tools). The multibend technique is often used as a last resort.
Step bending of complex parts
Everything is possible when an internal study confirms our ability to assist you. “Round squares” or eccentric cones are technical parts where step bending is often the only solution.
Craftsmanship in the service of industry
Specific tools and adequate machines
Our fleet of rollbending and step-bending machines and adapted tools allow us to form custom and non-standard parts with progressive folding
Associated with a sharp finishing touch
The manual know-how of our team offers dexterity and sensitivity for the material that allows it to know where to tap, where to fold and where to straighten in order to fashion your most complex parts.
Without forgetting
the technology
Being leaders in this field, we are equipped with 2D and 3D modeling technologies.
The materials worked
We work with all kinds of metals like steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, nickel, titanium, Inconel and their alloys.
Custom quality
At Brilla, we do not design any project without our established and documented quality policy. We offer a specific service of quality management upon request.
Our step bending productions
Single cone, small and medium production runs for round parts, prototypes or unique challenges
The step bending is a unique technique that requires dexterity and minutious work. We can produce, upon request, non-standard projects using sheet metal step bending.
